Sarson ka Saag – It is a traditional food, especially in Punjab. Sarson ka saag is made up of leafy vegetables and full of nutrition. It is very beneficial in winter. Today we are teaching you how to make the Sarson ka saag recipe.
Ingredients for Sarson ka Saag –
- 500-gram fresh mustard leaves
- 150 gms spinach,
- 100 gms bathua ki bhaji
- 100 gms methi leaves
- Green chilies as per your requirement,
- Two big tomatoes,
- Two onion,
- Ginger garlic paste
- Turmeric powder,
- Salt as per taste
Wash all the green vegetables with water and chop.
Put chopped leaves in a pan and cover the lid. Cook for 10- 15 minutes on low flame. Cook the chopped leaves up to when the saag is well cooked
Open the lid and switch off the flame
Now grind these leaves it into a smooth paste in a mixer grinder.
Now the saag is well blended.
Heat 2-3 tablespoon oil in a pan
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few minutes add chopped onions and green chilies.
After some time add turmeric powder and cook until the onion turns golden brown.
Now add chopped tomatoes,
Cover the lid and cook on medium flame till tomatoes are well cooked
Now add ground saag leaves puree in a pan.
Now add salt as per your taste
Cover again and cook for about 10-15 minutes on medium flame.
Now your saag is ready
Add some butter.
