Five-day Diwali is a festival celebrated with great pomp. Together with Goddess Lakshmi, many other deities are worshipped, such as Lord Ganesha, Kuber, Dhanvantari, Yamraj, Govardhan, etc.

In every house there are many types of dishes and sweets prepared. The houses are decorated like weddings. Earthen lamps light up the houses.

When performing Lakshmi Puja, use cow’s ghee, groundnut oil or black sesame oil. Fruits such as sitaphal, quince, plum, pomegranate, and singadha are appropriate offerings to be made to the mother. Put the kajal of the lamp lit during the worship in your eyes.
